The council recognises how important christmas lights are, not only to business owners, in bringing people into the town centre to shop, but also to the morale of residents and visitors to the town. The matlock bath illuminations run every saturday and sunday night from september to end of october, with firework finales each saturday in october (plus a fireworks display on the final night of the season).
